Hi all,

As some of you already know, effective late last week, we have suspended the remainder of the 2010 NEOHIO Solo season.

This is not a decision I am happy to report, nor is it easy to share, but at least for now it is the right thing to do for several reasons.

I think there is a chance we can resurrect something before this season is out, but a key to that is to get more people out, and to secure a lot with a better draw.

Thanks to all of you for helping get this program where it is. You have all been critical in helping to get it to this point, which is a stronger foundation than it was when we started.

Our regular monthly meeting is next Tuesday, July 20th. Same place (On Tap in Montrose), but we have a couple changes versus the regular. The actual meeting will start at 6:30 instead of 7.

Starting at 7, Scott Hearne will host a Solo Safety Steward training session. It’s the first step to become certified in the process. Its a great education, even if you don’t intend to get certified!

As most of you know, we have an added event THIS SATURDAY, June 12th at Lakeland Community College. It will be held in conjunction with the NASSM (North American Solstice / Sky Meet) Event participants.

Pre-registration is OPEN, and will be until 8PM EST this THURSDAY. Go to http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=11390 and register! Remember there is a $5 added fee for on-site registration.

Same schedule we’ve been following (reads slightly different on the reg site):

Site open – 7:00 AM

Reg open – 8:00 – 9:15AM

Tech – 8:00 – 9:30AM

Novice Walk – 9:30AM

Driver’s meeting – 9:45AM

First car off – 10:00AM

Online registration is OPEN, so go here and register today. No pentalty for early registration, and you have the choice to pay online, or on-site.
 
Do remember, effective the remainder of the season, starting with this coming event, there will be a $5 fee assessed to those that register on-site, so REGISTER TODAY. Online reg closes the Friday before the event at 8PM.
